Smart Bazar-Sahara Q Shop

If you know Gwalior, you probably know the Gole Ka Mandir area. We are tucked away on Sarla Farm Sury Mandir Road, which is a bit of a mouthful to say but easy enough to find if you’re near the temple. The shop has been a part of our daily lives for a while now. It’s a simple building with plenty of stuff packed inside. We called it Smart Bazar-Sahara Q Shop, but it’s really just us and the things we sell. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just saw a spot and thought it would work for a store. Most days are spent unpacking boxes or talking to the delivery drivers who struggle with the turn on the road. The inside is filled with rows of everyday goods, nothing too special, just the things people use in their kitchens or bathrooms. We have some fans that hum all day to keep the air moving when it gets stuffy. It’s mostly local people from the nearby houses who come in. We know most of them by their faces if not their names. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just the way things go here. We don't use any fancy systems, just a pen and some notebooks to keep track of what's going on. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till late at night. Sometimes the street gets noisy with temple visitors, but we just keep doing our thing inside the store.
