Shoe Maker Company

Shoe Maker Company is based in the Moti Ramani Complex, specifically at C-4. We are right there in Naya Bazaar, which is always a bit loud and crowded. If you’re looking for us, we are quite close to Dr. Koul Hospital, so that's usually the best way to find the building. The stairs in the complex are a bit steep and the lighting in the hallway flickers sometimes, but once you get inside our unit, it's alright. We have leather pieces and thread all over the place. The smell of glue is pretty strong some days, but we don’t even notice it anymore. I’ve been working here for years, and most of the staff have been around just as long. We aren't interested in being a big brand or anything like that. We just like making things that last. Sometimes we have a radio playing in the background, usually some old songs that everyone knows. The workbench is scarred up from all the cutting and hammering, but it’s sturdy. People from Kampoo Lashkar often drop by just to see how their repairs are going or to talk about a new pair of shoes. We don't have a glossy catalog. We just show people what we are working on at the moment. It’s a small operation and it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders, but we manage just fine.
