Our place, Saffron Transformer Components Pvt. Ltd., is in the Old Industrial Area of Birla Nagar. We are right next to the Sail Stock Yard, so you will see plenty of heavy vehicles and raw materials moving around outside our gates every day. The area is quite old and has that classic industrial feel to it. Inside our facility, we focus on making various components for transformers. It involves a lot of specialized work with copper, insulation, and different metal parts. The workshop is always humming with the sound of tools and the occasional radio playing in the background. We have a small office upstairs where the paperwork gets handled, but most of us spend our time down on the factory floor. The stairs are narrow and the lighting isn't always perfect, but it is where we have been working for years. It is a practical setup meant for production, not for showing off to visitors. Sometimes the dust from the stock yard next door blows in, so we are always wiping down the workbenches. We do not use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the parts, pack them up, and send them off to where they need to go. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is usually the best part of the afternoon.
