Ravi Kumar Stores

You can find us over at 91/58 in Lashkar Bazar. It is one of those old-school market areas where everything is a bit cramped but full of character. We have been here for quite some time now, and the building has seen a lot of years. At Ravi Kumar Stores, we carry a bit of everything that the local people might need. Our day usually starts with us pulling up the heavy metal shutters and setting out some of the stock near the front. The bazar gets really busy as the morning goes on. There are always people shouting and bells ringing from the cycles going past. It is a noisy place, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a big staff, just enough to keep things moving. We spend a lot of our time checking what we have left on the shelves and writing down what we need to order next. It is all done on paper, nothing too high-tech about it. Customers come in and we usually know what they want before they even ask. That is the nice thing about being in a place like Lashkar Bazar. You get to know your neighbors and the people who live around the corner. It is just a regular shop where we work hard and try to stay organized. There is always something that needs doing.
