Rajpoot General Stores

My family has been at Rajpoot General Stores for a while now. We're right at Anand Nagar Chauraha in Bahodapur. It gets pretty busy here because of the intersection. Gwalior summers are no joke, so the fans are always on. We mostly deal in everyday things people need for their houses. I spend a lot of time just keeping track of what's running low. Sometimes the boxes pile up in the corner before I can get to them. It's just me and a couple of others usually. We open up early and don't really close until late evening when the street gets quiet. People stop by on their way home from work. It’s not fancy or anything, just a regular shop with wooden shelves and a lot of stuff packed in. I try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way. The floor gets dusty from the road outside. I know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don’t have a big website or anything, just this physical spot. If someone needs a bag of flour or some soap, they know where we are. It’s steady work. Some days are slower than others. I usually sit near the counter and wait for the afternoon rush. It’s a basic life but it keeps us busy. Bahodapur is a loud place but you get used to the noise after a few years. It’s an honest living.
