Private Hospital

So, we are located inside Akanksha Apartment over in Lalitpur Colony. If you know the Lashkar area, you probably know how the streets get narrow and busy. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for the sign on the gate. We take up a good portion of the ground floor. The apartment building itself is older, but it stays cool inside during the summer months. Most of us have been working here since the place opened up. We have a small reception area with some plastic chairs that have seen better days. The light in the hallway flickers a little bit sometimes, but we’ve called the guy to fix it. People from the colony just walk over when they need something. It’s convenient for them. We have a back door that leads to a small courtyard where we keep some of the cleaning supplies. It’s quiet back there. Lashkar is always noisy with the markets and the rickshaws, so the hospital feels like a different world once you step inside the lobby. We use old-fashioned ledgers for some things because the computer acts up when it rains. It’s just how we do things here. Nobody wears suits or anything like that. We just wear our scrubs and get on with the day. The pharmacy is right next to us, so that helps out. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the families by name now.
