Ayush Art Company is over in Morar, specifically in the Ghas Mandi area. This is a very old part of town and it’s always incredibly busy. The streets are narrow and filled with all sorts of shops and stalls. Our place is right in the thick of it. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess, to be honest. We have canvases leaning against the walls and jars of brushes everywhere you look. There’s always a bit of paint on the floor and the smell of turpentine in the air. We’ve been in Ghas Mandi for years, so we’re used to the noise and the constant flow of people outside the door. The lighting isn't great, so we have a few extra lamps scattered around the worktables. Morar gets very dusty in the summer, and we are constantly wiping down the surfaces so the art doesn't get ruined. We don't have a fancy gallery space or a reception area. It's just a working shop where we make things. Sometimes people wander in just to see what we are painting or building. We have a small radio that we keep tuned to the local station for some background noise. It’s a bit cramped and definitely not polished, but it’s where we do our best work. Life in Ghas Mandi is fast-paced, but inside the shop, we just focus on the colors and the materials and getting things finished.
