Saarasa Engineering Works

We set up Saarasa Engineering Works over in the Zamboor Khana area, specifically in Lakkad Khana in Lashkar. It is an old part of the city where you can hear the sound of metal and wood being worked on all day long. Our workshop is not very big, but we have enough space for our lathes and the welding equipment we use. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running since the morning. We usually have a few projects going on at once, so there are always bits of scrap metal and shavings on the floor that need sweeping. Most of our days are spent fixing things or making small parts for people who drop by from the neighborhood. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk in the corner with some old ledgers and a fan that makes a bit too much noise. The street outside is usually busy with carts and people moving supplies around. We know most of the folks in the Lakkad Khana area because we have been working here for years. It is a gritty sort of job, and our clothes usually have oil stains on them by lunch, but it is what we know how to do. We just take the work as it comes and try to get it finished before the sun goes down. It is a simple life for us here in Lashkar.
