We operate out of 32, Dwarikadish Colony in the Thatipur area. It’s more of a residential-feeling spot than a busy commercial hub, which we actually quite like. The office is basically a converted space that suits us just fine for the kind of international trading work we do. There’s a small garden out front that someone tries to keep tidy, though the heat usually wins. Inside, it’s mostly desks, filing cabinets, and a lot of paper. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things, so there’s a lot of talk about shipping routes and customs forms. It’s not the most exciting stuff to talk about, but it keeps the lights on. We don’t have any big signs or fancy glass doors. Most people wouldn't even know we were an international business from looking at the outside. The team is small, just a handful of us who have worked together for a long time. We know each other’s families and we usually have our tea breaks together in the small kitchen at the back. It’s a quiet way to run a business, away from the main city noise. Some days are slow when we’re waiting on emails from different time zones, and other days we’re rushing to get paperwork signed before the couriers arrive. It’s a steady life here in Gwalior, and we just keep plugging away at it day by day.
