Kedar General Store

Kedar General Store is located in the Lashkar area of Gwalior, right on the Main Road in Subhash Market. It’s a very busy part of the city. There are always rickshaws and cars honking outside, and the sidewalk is usually crowded with people. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with all sorts of general items that people need for their homes. The building is older, and the shop has a lot of character, mostly from years of use. We don't have any polished floors or modern lighting. It’s just a functional space where we work every day. My family has been doing this for a long time. We know the local residents and the other shopkeepers on the Main Road quite well. Sometimes we sit outside on a small bench when the store is empty just to get some fresh air. The work is mostly about lifting boxes, counting change, and helping people find specific items in our crowded aisles. Gwalior can get very dusty, so we are constantly wiping down the counters. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything like that. We are just content running the store and serving the people who live in Lashkar. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we know how to do. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like the routine of it because it keeps us busy and connected.
