Jims Placement

Jims Placement is located at D15 in Basant Vihar. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. We’ve got a couple of rooms set up with desks and some chairs for people who come in for interviews. It’s usually pretty quiet around here, except for the sound of the phone ringing or someone typing on a keyboard. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who spend the day looking through resumes and talking to people looking for jobs. The walls are mostly bare, maybe a few notes taped up here and there about upcoming meetings. We’ve been doing this for a while from this Basant Vihar address. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We don’t do much advertising at all. It’s a lot of sitting and talking, trying to figure out where someone might fit best. Sometimes we have a lot of people coming in at once and it gets a bit crowded in the small waiting area. We usually offer them a glass of water and tell them to wait a few minutes. The internet goes out sometimes, and we just have to wait for it to come back while we organize the physical files. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help people find a decent place to work. It's a simple operation, run out of a simple building by regular people.
