Jeevan Rakshak Clinic

Jeevan Rakshak Clinic is located in Kabir Colony, over in Morar Town. People around here know the Nadi Par Tall area well. It’s where we’ve been for a long time. The clinic is on the ground floor. It’s easy for the older folks to get in without climbing stairs. Inside, it’s quite plain. We have some posters on the wall about health and a big desk where the doctor sits. The waiting area has a few benches. Sometimes we have to bring out extra stools when it gets busy on Monday mornings. Gwalior winters are cold, so we keep the door shut then, but in summer we leave it open for the breeze. There’s a small tea stall nearby and sometimes the smell of tea drifts in. We know most of the families in Kabir Colony. They bring their kids here for checkups. It’s a busy little spot but we try to keep it organized. We use a lot of handwritten notes for the patients. It feels more personal that way. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking. We don’t mind. It shows people come here often. We open up early and stay until the last person is seen. It’s just how we work. Nothing complicated about it. We are just a part of the neighborhood in Morar Town. That’s the way it has always been for us.
