We operate out of Maheshwari Sadan, and it’s a pretty straightforward setup for Baan Adhesives Pvt. Ltd. Most of our day is spent around containers of glue and various bonding agents. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it’s what we know. The office is inside the building, and it usually smells a bit like chemicals and tape, which you get used to after the first week or so. We deal with a lot of suppliers and local shops that need stock. There are always boxes stacked up in the corners. We aren't really into big presentations or marketing stuff. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the buckets are sealed properly before they go out. Sometimes the phones ring off the hook, and other times we are just sitting there checking the ledgers. Maheshwari Sadan is a familiar landmark for those who live around here. We have a few people working in the back and a couple of us handling the paperwork. It can get a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we make it work. It’s a family-style environment, nothing too formal or corporate. We wear regular clothes and just get stuck into the daily tasks. If someone needs an adhesive for a project, we look through what is on the shelves and find a match. It’s a practical business, run by people who have been in the trade for a good while now.
