Jagannath General Store

Jagannath General Store is in the Bajaj Khana area of Morar, very close to the Hanuman Mandir. Gwalior is a busy city, and our part of Morar sees a lot of foot traffic. This is especially true on Tuesdays and Saturdays when people visit the temple. Our shop is a modest place with a lot of stuff squeezed into a small space. We sell the usual household items like soap, detergent, flour, and ghee. We always keep some jars of colorful candies on the counter for the kids who come in with their parents. The floor is made of old stone, which is good because it doesn't wear out even with so many people walking on it. I have been here since I was a young man. It is a family business, and we know the shopping habits of almost everyone in the neighborhood. Some folks come in every single morning for their milk and bread. We don't have bright supermarket lights, just a few tube lights that flicker sometimes. The streets in Bajaj Khana are quite narrow, so sometimes the delivery trucks can't get close and we have to carry the heavy crates by hand. It is a lot of work, but we are used to it.
