Our place is at 231 Shashtri Nagar, over in the Tripuri Ward. It’s a typical residential street, so we are right next to our neighbors' houses. We do infrastructure work, so sometimes it feels a bit odd to be based in such a quiet spot. We have a small yard where we keep some of the equipment and materials when they aren't out at a site. Our office is just a front room converted into a workspace. It’s got a couple of old filing cabinets and a big wooden desk that belonged to my uncle. We don't have any signs or flashing lights outside. People usually just know where we are by word of mouth. Work involves a lot of coordination with local laborers and truck drivers. Some days we are up at 5 AM to meet a crew, and other days we are stuck inside doing the books until late at night. It’s not a glamorous job, and we often go home with mud on our shoes. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we care about what happens in the ward. We don't use any big corporate language because that’s just not who we are. We are just local folks trying to build things right and keep the business running. Sometimes the rain floods the street a bit, or the power goes out during a storm, but we just deal with it and keep moving forward.
