Gulab Chand Mathura Prasad

Gulab Chand Mathura Prasad is the name we use, and you can find us in Daulat Ganj. That is a well-known area in Lashkar, Gwalior, and we have been part of it for a long while. The shop has a heavy wooden door that we open up every morning. Inside, it smells a bit like old paper and the goods we store. We don't have any modern displays or bright lights. It is a very traditional setup, the kind you see all over this part of town. People come to us because they know the family name. We don't do any social media or internet stuff. If you want to talk to us, you just come to the shop and sit on the bench. We talk about the local news and how the market is doing while we handle the business side of things. It’s a slow pace sometimes, but we prefer it that way. Daulat Ganj can be a bit chaotic with all the rickshaws, but once you step inside, it is a bit calmer. We have regular customers whose parents used to buy from our parents. That kind of connection is important to us. We don't need to be the biggest or the flashiest. We are just content doing what we have always done. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble. We just take things one day at a time here.
