Goyal General Store

We are set up in Ganesh Plaza, right by Gole Ka Mandir in the Morar area of Gwalior. Being in a plaza means we have a lot of neighbors around us. Gole Ka Mandir is a well-known spot, so it’s easy for people to find us. Our general store has all the small things you might need for your house. We’ve been here in Morar for a long time. The shop is filled with everything from cleaning supplies to snacks. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the boxes, but we know where everything is kept. Gwalior can get very cold in the winters and very hot in the summers, so the atmosphere in the plaza changes with the seasons. We don't have a big team of workers. It’s usually just one or two of us here. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who stop by for a chat while they shop. We don't use any complicated systems. It’s all very straightforward. We just want to make sure the shelves aren't empty when someone needs something. The plaza gets quite lively during the day with people coming and going. We are just one of the many small businesses here trying to get things right. It is a simple life in Gwalior. We don't have any grand plans. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It’s nothing more than a place to pick up what you need for the week.
