Girraj General Stores

You can find Girraj General Stores over in the Lashkar area of Gwalior, right in Daulat Ganj. It is a very central part of the city, and the 474001 pincode covers a lot of the old commercial spots. Our shop is just a regular general store where we keep all the daily essentials. We have been sitting here on this street for quite a while now. The building is older, like many in this part of Lashkar, and the shop has that lived-in feel to it. We don't have any big marketing plans or a professional team; it is just a few of us making sure the shelves are stocked. People from the nearby houses come here because it’s convenient and they’ve known us for a long time. It gets pretty hot in Gwalior during the summer, so the afternoons are usually quiet, but it picks up again once the sun starts to go down. We have piles of goods everywhere, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for, but we always get there. There is no corporate vibe here at all. It is just a plain, local business where we try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door. Daulat Ganj is a busy place to work, but we like being right in the middle of everything that goes on in this part of Gwalior.
