Our shop is tucked away at 39/3 in Juni Mandi. If you know the Sanyogita Ganj area, you probably know where the Union Bank is. We are right near there. It’s a crowded part of town, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. Inside the shop, it always smells like turmeric and coriander. Sometimes it makes you sneeze if you stay too long. We spend most of the morning weighing things out and putting them into bags. It’s a lot of manual work. The floors are stone and they get a bit stained from all the different powders we handle. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the bags are filled correctly and the scales are balanced. Customers come in and out all day, mostly locals who have been coming to this market for years. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really matter for what we do. We focus on the product and getting it out the door. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and the market gets muddy. We just sit on the wooden stools and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a simple life here in the mandi, and we like it that way.
