You can find us at number 53 in Thatipur. The building belongs to Shri Majhar Hussain, and we’ve been using this space for Chai Premier League Private Limited for a bit now. It’s a lively neighborhood. There are always kids playing in the street or people stopping by to chat. Tea is a big deal around here, so we focus on that. It’s not a huge setup. We have a few tables and some chairs that don’t all match, but they do the job. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get around to it. We spend most of our time brewing and trying out different blends. Some days the ginger is stronger than others, and people definitely let us know. It’s a very local thing. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff. We just open the shutters in the morning and start the stove. Sometimes the milk delivery is late, and we have to wait around drinking plain water. It’s just the way it goes. The evening rush is the hardest part of the day because everyone wants their chai at exactly the same time. We just keep pouring and making sure the biscuits are fresh. It’s simple work, but it keeps us on our feet all day long.
