Bansal Mart

If you are ever near ITM University in Gwalior, you will probably pass by Bansal Mart. We are in the Thatitur area. It is a busy spot because of all the students and the local families living nearby. We spend most of our time making sure the shelves aren't empty. People come in for all sorts of things throughout the day. It is not a fancy supermarket, just a regular mart where you can get what you need. Gwalior gets really cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so the store is a bit of a refuge for people. We have a few staff members who help out with the registers and moving boxes. It is a lot of standing around and talking to customers. We know most of the people who live in the neighborhood by name now. The university brings in new faces every year which keeps things interesting. We don't have a big mission statement. We just open up early and stay open until late so people can get their shopping done. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to scramble a bit. That is just how running a shop goes. We are just happy to be part of the Thatitur community. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
