Baba Ki Kutiya

You can find us, Baba Ki Kutiya, right in Phool Bagh, Gwalior. We are situated near the Chowpatty and just opposite Baija Taal. It’s a nice spot because of the water and the park nearby. We are close to the Haat Bazar as well. Our setup is quite basic. We wanted a place where anyone could come in and feel okay. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just a local spot run by a few of us. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The recipes are just things we learned from our families. Nothing fancy or complicated. Most days we are busy cleaning and getting the vegetables ready. The Phool Bagh area gets very busy on weekends, so those are our toughest days. We try to keep up with everyone, but sometimes it gets a bit hectic. The tables are simple wood, and we don't have fancy menus. We just tell people what we have for the day. It’s a bit of a walk from the main parking, but people seem to find us anyway. We like being near the bazaar because there is always something happening. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood. We just do our work and go home at night like everyone else. There is no secret to what we do, just cooking food and keeping the place running for the people.
