The clinic is tucked away in Lalitpur Colony in Gwalior. Most people just tell their rickshaw drivers to go near the Achaleshawar Mandir because that’s the easiest way to find this part of the colony. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to it. We deal with the neurology and woman clinic stuff mentioned in our name, which keeps the waiting room pretty full most days. The atmosphere is usually a bit quiet, except when the temple bells are ringing nearby. You can hear them pretty clearly from inside the rooms. The walls are painted a standard off-white and there are always stacks of files on the desks that need sorting. Gwalior gets quite hot, so the coolers are usually running full blast during the summer months to keep the air moving. It’s a local place through and through. The neighbors know us, and we know which cows usually wander down the street at noon. Being near Achaleshawar Mandir gives the whole area a specific feel, kind of busy but steady. We spend our days going from room to room, checking on people and writing out notes. It isn't a flashy medical center with a huge lobby and fancy lights. It’s just a clinic in a residential colony where the stairs might creak a little and the water cooler is always a popular spot.
