ANSH College, Gwalior-The Academy of Nursing Sciences & Hospital

ANSH College, or the Academy of Nursing Sciences & Hospital as some call it, sits about a kilometer down from the Nai Duniya Press on the Shivpuri Link road. Gwalior can be a busy place, and this area near Kedarpur is no different. We started this place because there was a need for nursing training around here. The building is a sturdy structure right on the Piproli Road. You can hear the traffic from the main road throughout the day, but inside the classrooms, it stays mostly focused. We have nursing labs that are filled with mannequins and medical kits where the students spend a lot of their time practicing bandages and shots. It isn't a glamorous setup, just a lot of floor space dedicated to learning the ropes of hospital work. The staff here are mostly nurses and doctors who have spent years on their feet, so they don't sugarcoat how difficult the job is. During the breaks, students sit out near the entrance or talk in the corridors about their clinical rotations. We deal with a lot of paperwork and state board requirements, which keeps the office staff tucked away behind stacks of files. It’s a straightforward environment where the goal is just to make sure these kids know how to handle a hospital floor. We are just a local college doing our bit in this corner of Gwalior.
