Agarwal General Store

We are situated in Bajaj Khana, right near Pal Dairy in the Morar part of Gwalior. Agarwal General Store has been where we work for quite a long time now. It is a busy little corner of the market area. You can usually hear the cows or the milk vans from the dairy next door throughout the day. Our shop is quite packed with all sorts of things, from snacks to cleaning supplies and everything else. We have these very tall shelves that go almost to the ceiling. I have to use a little stool just to reach the items on the top rows. It can be a bit of a workout. My brother helps me out with the customers, especially during the busy times in the afternoon. We don't have much room to move around behind the main counter. The air inside always smells like spices and soap. We have many regular customers who stop by to say hello while they are out doing their shopping. The floor is made of old stone and it has seen a lot of feet over the years. We keep our bills in a plastic folder that is getting a bit old and ragged now. It is just how we do things here. We don't have big advertisements, just the shop name on the board outside. We stay open until the streetlights come on and the market starts to get quiet for the night. It is just our daily life here.
