Advanced Dental Clinic

Out here in Madhoga, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our dental clinic is a simple building that everyone in the village knows. We don’t have a big sign with flashing lights, just the name painted on the front. I’ve been working on teeth here for quite some time now. Usually, people come in when something starts hurting, rather than for regular checkups. It’s just how it is here. I know most of the families by their last names and who is related to who. The clinic has a few rooms with tiled floors that stay cold under your feet. We have an old wooden desk where we keep all the records. There is a window that looks out towards the main road. On rainy days, the mud gets tracked in, so we spend a lot of time mopping up the floor. It isn’t a fancy place with high-tech gadgets everywhere. We use what we have and we make sure everything is clean. Patients often bring news from the other side of town while they sit in the chair. It feels more like a community spot than a medical office sometimes. We handle everything from pulled teeth to basic fillings. Life in Madhoga is quiet, and the clinic reflects that. We open early because people here start their day with the sun. It is a small operation, just me and one helper who keeps things moving along. We focus on the work and skip the small talk.
