Aakar Furniture

Aakar Furniture is right opposite the Jeen Mata Mandir in Daulatganj. If you know Lashkar in Gwalior, you know this area is always full of people and activity. Being across from the temple means we hear the bells and see the crowds every day. Our shop is where we keep all the furniture pieces we’re working on. It’s often a bit crowded inside with chairs, tables, and wood pieces waiting to be finished. We don’t have a big showroom with air conditioning or anything fancy. It’s just a workshop and a display area mixed together. The dust from the wood is part of the job. People come in from the street to look around or ask about prices. We’ve been in Gwalior for a long time. Daulatganj is a busy market area, so there is always noise from the traffic outside. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever piece is next on the list. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving heavy things around and making sure the joints are tight. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make furniture that people can use in their homes. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to fix or polish. It’s a very local way of doing things, and that’s how we like it here in Lashkar.
