Eastern Nursery

Eastern Nursery is located in Village Bamungaon, over in the Lanka area of Hojai. We spend most of our time out in the dirt with the plants. It’s humid here, which is good for the greens but can be a bit much for us sometimes. We grow all sorts of things, mostly local varieties that do well in this soil. It’s not a high-tech setup; we use our hands and basic tools mostly. There’s always weeds to pull or something that needs watering. The days start really early before the sun gets too hot. We’ve got rows of saplings and some bigger trees too. People from around Hojai come by when they want to fix up their gardens or start a small farm. It’s quiet out here in Bamungaon, away from the main noise. Sometimes the birds get louder than the people. We keep things moving, moving pots around and making sure the shade nets are tied down right. It’s honest work, and it keeps us tired by the end of the day. There isn't much to say other than we like being outside. The nursery is just a patch of land where we try to keep things growing. We don't use any big machines, just a lot of patience and some water. It’s a slow pace of life, and we don't mind it. Sometimes we get a lot of rain and have to move everything to the higher ground. It’s just how it goes with farming.
