Tatva

We are located in Milanpur, over in the Chandmari area. It is a bit quieter than the main city center, which is nice for us during the day. The shop is called Tatva. We do not have a huge glowing sign out front, just a simple one so people know where we are when they walk by. Inside, it is mostly just us and the items we have for sale. It is not a big corporate setup with lots of rules. We usually open up a bit late in the morning after the local traffic has settled down and the sun is up. We spend time organizing the shelves and making sure everything looks okay for whoever might stop in. There is a small window that lets in some natural light, but mostly it is just the ceiling bulbs overhead. We know many of the people who live around here in the neighborhood. They stop by just to say hello or ask about what is new in the shop. We do not really do much advertising. Mostly it is just word of mouth from someone’s aunt or a neighbor who bought something. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to breathe the air and see who is passing by. We keep a ledger for all the accounts and write everything down by hand.
