Sm Motors

Being on the 3rd floor at 17A in Bhaskar Nagar gives us a view of the road, though mostly it’s just the tops of buses. Sm Motors is right near Zoo Tiniali, so there is always noise from the street below. R G Baruah Road is packed from morning till night. We are fairly close to the LGBI Airport, so you can hear the planes sometimes if it’s quiet enough. The office isn't very big. We have chairs for visitors and a few desks for the staff. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for help with their vehicles. Being at VIP Chowk means we see a lot of people passing through. It’s a busy part of the city. We keep some parts in the back room and a lot of catalogs on the table. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to use the stairs, which isn't fun in the heat. We don't have a corporate vibe here. It’s more like a group of people who know a lot about motors trying to help out. We drink a lot of water and keep the windows shut to block out the dust from the road. It’s a straightforward operation. We handle the registrations and the sales stuff without much fuss. The day usually ends with us finishing up the final bits of paperwork.
