We operate out of the 3rd floor at Neha Apartment in Rukminigaon. Guwahati can get pretty hot, so we stay busy with cooling systems and technical repairs. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but the view of the neighborhood isn't bad. Our office is mostly tools and spare parts for air conditioners. We aren't some massive company with a big marketing team. It’s just a group of us who know how to fix machines. We spend most of our time out on service calls. The office is really just a home base to organize the day. Sometimes we get stuck in traffic near Rukminigaon, which can be a pain. We try to be on time but it’s not always possible. We don't have a polished website or anything like that. People find us because their friend told them we know what we’re doing. It’s steady work. We handle the technical stuff so people can stay cool. It’s not very exciting to talk about, but it’s what we’ve been doing at Chillmech Techno Pvt. Ltd. for a while now. We just take one job at a time and try to get it finished properly. That’s the reality of it here. We have a small table where we keep our logbooks and a few half-finished cups of tea. The balcony has some old units that we use for parts. It is just a regular working day for us up on the third floor.
