Prveen Janral Store

Prveen Janral Store has been a part of Savid Nager in Guwahati for a long time. We are tucked away at number one. It is a simple shop where we sell all the daily essentials. You can find things like lentils, cooking oil, and maybe some stationery for the school kids. The building is older and the paint is peeling a little in some spots, but it does the job. We get a lot of people from the local houses coming in throughout the day. Guwahati can get a lot of rain, so we often have people standing under our awning to stay dry while they wait for a rickshaw. We talk about the rain and the prices of vegetables while we bag their items. It is just us working here, no big team or anything. We write down our stock on small slips of paper. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific item if it got pushed to the back of the shelf. It is not perfectly organized like those big supermarkets, but we know where everything is. We don't have a phone that rings all the time or any fancy gadgets. Just a scale and a cash box. It is a slow and steady kind of life. We are just happy to be here serving the folks in Savid Nager every day without much fuss.
