Pawan Kumar Sharma. My office is located in Jagadishwar Palace on M S Road. This is right in the middle of Fancy Bazar in Guwahati. If you’ve ever walked down M S Road, you know how much is going on there at any given time. Jagadishwar Palace is one of the many buildings that house different businesses in this area. It’s a fairly straightforward place to get to, though the traffic in Fancy Bazar can be a bit of a nightmare depending on the time of day. I usually try to get in early before the crowds really start to build up. The office itself is quite basic. It has everything I need to do my work, like a desk, a telephone, and some filing space. I don't see the need for expensive furniture or decorations that don't serve a purpose. It's a place for business, not for showing off. The light comes in through the window and you can see the people down on the street going about their shopping. It’s a very lively part of town to be based in. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common enough around here, so we just wait for it to come back on and keep going. I’ve been here for a while and I’ve gotten to know the other people working in Jagadishwar Palace. We all just do our own thing and keep the day moving along. It’s a simple life and a simple office for a person like me.
