K. Dutta Brothers

K. Dutta Brothers is our family shop located in Guwahati. We are situated at Hatigarh Chariali, right on Zoo Road. Being in Assam, we get a lot of rain, so the shop is a good place for people to duck into when a downpour starts. We've been on Zoo Road for quite some time now. We sell basic groceries and household items that families around 781024 need. It’s a brothers’ business, so there is usually one of us here from morning until night. The shop is a bit cluttered because we try to fit as much as possible into the space we have. You’ll find things like local tea, packets of biscuits, and various toiletries. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights. We just use regular tubelights and keep the doors open to the street. The traffic at the Chariali can be quite heavy, so there is a lot of honking outside all day. We just focus on serving the people who walk in. Some customers have been coming to us since they were children. We don't do anything special, just sell what’s in stock and keep the place running. It’s honest work and keeps us busy. We aren't a big chain, just a local spot where you can get your daily essentials without any fuss. Working together as brothers means the shop stays in the family.
