Our building is right on GS Road, which is basically the heart of the mess in Guwahati. If you’ve ever tried driving through Christian Basti or Ananda Nagar during rush hour, you know exactly what I mean. Here at Jettwings, it’s a different kind of busy. We have students coming in from all over the North East, all hoping to get into the airline or hotel business. You see them walking around in their neat uniforms, which is a big contrast to how messy the streets outside can be. We spend our time teaching them how to carry themselves, how to talk to people, and all the little details that go into hospitality. It’s a lot of repetition, honestly. Sometimes the AC in the classrooms acts up, and we have to scramble to fix it before everyone starts complaining. The staff room is usually full of half-drunk cups of tea and stacks of student files. We don’t really do things like the big fancy schools you see on TV; we’re just here on GS Road trying to get these kids ready for a real job. It’s rewarding when someone gets placed, but most days it’s just about managing schedules and making sure the instructors show up on time. Guwahati is growing fast, and being in Christian Basti puts us right in the middle of it all. It’s loud, it’s hectic, but it’s what we do.
