If you head down Basishta Mandir Road, you'll eventually find us. Brahmaputra Art is tucked away in a spot that feels a bit more relaxed than the city center. We spend our days working with different materials and trying to make things that people might want to have in their homes. It’s not a sterile environment; there’s usually dust, scraps of paper, or bits of wood lying around the floor. We don’t mind the mess because it shows we’re actually doing something. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, but that's just part of living here. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. It’s not a job where you wear a suit and tie. Most of us wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. We don't have a fancy website or a big advertising budget. We just rely on the work we do and the people who walk past our door. Sometimes neighbors stop in to watch us work for a few minutes. It’s a simple life, really. We open up in the morning, do what needs to be done, and close up when the light gets too low to see properly. There’s a certain rhythm to the work that we all enjoy. We don't try to be anything we're not. We’re just local people making things on Basishta Mandir Road and trying to make a living like everyone else.
