Our place, Anil Rai & Co., is tucked away behind Dona Planet on D. Neog Path. Most people know the GS Road area is always noisy and moving, but our spot is a bit more settled. We’ve been operating from House Number 12 for a while. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the books and papers are in order. When you come here, you won’t see any shiny glass walls or corporate art. It is just a practical space where we sit down and work through whatever needs doing. Dealing with the paperwork for businesses in Guwahati can be a bit of a headache sometimes, so we try to keep it simple for everyone. Sometimes the traffic on GS Road makes getting here take longer than it should, but we are usually here until late. We usually have a lot of files stacked up on the desks, but we know where everything is kept. If you stop by, we can talk about whatever it is you need help with. We aren’t interested in fancy talk or making things sound harder than they are. Just straightforward work and getting things filed on time. It is a quiet street once you get off the main road. We’ve seen the city change a lot around us over the years. People around here know us as the guys who just keep their heads down and do the work. That’s how we like it.
