The shop is right here on Dhupalia Road, just by the Shankar Hotel Tinali. It's a busy spot in Joyti Kuchi. We spend most of our days among the sawdust and the smell of fresh wood. Some days it’s quiet, and we just sit and wait for someone to walk in from the road, but other times it gets really hectic with people looking for a new bed or a table. There’s always wood piled up in the back and the tools are usually scattered around where someone left them. The traffic outside can be pretty loud because of the hotel nearby. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s not a fancy showroom like the ones you see in the big malls. It’s just a practical space where we get things done. Sometimes the floor is dusty and the chairs aren't perfectly lined up, but that’s how a real workshop is. We know the neighbors and the tea stall guy near the Tinali. If you are walking down Dhupalia Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a simple place. We handle the heavy lifting and the deliveries ourselves most of the time. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and it gets a bit warm, so we keep the fans going. It’s just us here, working with our hands and making sure the furniture is sturdy enough for a regular home. Nothing more, nothing less.
