Yagyavahini Foundation

Yagyavahini Foundation is over in Krishna Colony, right in the heart of Sadar Bazar here in Gurgaon. It is a busy place, but Prikshit Bhardwaj keeps things running at our spot. Most days you will find us just dealing with whatever comes up. The traffic around the bazar is usually pretty bad, but we are used to it by now. We started this foundation because there was stuff that needed doing around here. It isn't a huge office or anything fancy. Just a few desks and a lot of papers piled up. People drop by often just to talk or ask about what we are working on. We try to keep things simple. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit. It’s a local thing, mostly family and neighbors involved. We don't spend much time on websites or making things look pretty. If you know the area, you know where Krishna Colony is. We have been at this address for a while now. Haryana gets hot in the summer, so the cooler is always running if there is electricity. That is just how it goes for us. We are just a group of people from the neighborhood trying to handle things one day at a time without making a big fuss about it. The neighborhood is always changing, with new shops opening up and others closing down. We've seen it all from our small window.
