Upsideme Girls Foundation

We are based in the Sushant Shopping Arcade, specifically in Office 247 on the second floor of Block D. It’s an interesting place to work because we are right in the middle of a shopping center. There are stores and little cafes all around us, so there is never a dull moment. Our office isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got a few desks pushed together and some shelves for all our files. Because we are in Gurgaon, everything feels like it’s moving fast, but we try to keep a steady pace inside our own four walls. People often drop by just to ask what we do, and we usually have a spare chair for them to sit for a minute. It’s a bit of a maze in the arcade if you don’t know your way around, but Block D is easy enough to find once you get your bearings. We aren't a big corporate entity with a huge budget. We are just a small group of people trying to run this foundation properly. We handle everything ourselves, from the bookkeeping to the daily errands. Sometimes the lights in the hallway flicker or the lift is being serviced, but that’s just part of being in an older commercial building. We like the energy of the arcade and being close to where people are. It feels like we are part of the real world here, and it makes the work feel more connected to everyday life.
