Our company, Trishika Agventure India Exports Privatelimited, is situated up on the 9th floor of Spaze I-Tech Park in Sector 49 of Gurgaon. It is a big modern building, so we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the elevators, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is heading down. From our windows, we can see a lot of the city, which is a nice change from the busy streets below. Even though we are in a tech park, our daily life is all about agriculture and farm exports. We spend our hours talking to farmers and suppliers, trying to bridge the gap between the rural fields and the international markets. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, making sure the crop quality is what it needs to be and that the containers are booked on time. The office is mostly open plan, so it gets a bit noisy when everyone is on the phone at once. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee and occasionally share some snacks brought from home. It is a professional enough environment, but we keep it friendly and informal among the staff. We are just trying to move local produce to places where it is needed, working through the daily grind of export regulations and logistics one step at a time.
