Sur Taal

We’ve been here at Sushant Lok Phase I for a while now. C-2-80 is where you can find us if you’re looking for Sur Taal. It’s a quiet enough spot most days, though things get a bit louder once we start up. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and the rooms where we work. Usually, someone is around to answer the door if you drop by during the day. We spend a lot of time just getting things ready for whoever is coming in next. Sometimes the coffee machine works and sometimes it doesn't, that's just how it goes here. It’s mostly about the sound anyway. We have a few instruments sitting around and piles of papers. It’s not always perfectly tidy, but we know where everything is. People in Sushant Lok know the building easily enough. We try to keep the windows closed so we don't bother the neighbors too much, but music carries. It’s a decent place to spend the afternoon. We see a lot of the same faces every week. Some people stay for an hour and some stay longer. If you’re walking past the C block, you’ll probably hear us before you see the sign. It’s just how it is at Sur Taal. Nothing too complicated, just a place for people to come and do their thing with the notes and the rhythms.
