Sterling Motor Co. is tucked away at K-516 Jalvayu Towers. If you know Sector - 56 in Gurgaon, you know it’s a busy residential hub. We aren't located in a big showroom on the main road. Instead, we operate out of this spot in the towers. It can be a bit tricky for people to find us the first time they visit. We deal with motors and mechanical stuff all day long. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. The office part is just a small room with a couple of chairs that have seen better days. Haryana weather is tough on the equipment, so we spend a lot of time just keeping things running. There are always people coming and going in Jalvayu Towers. You hear kids playing outside and neighbors talking. It’s not like those quiet offices in the city center. We like it this way though. It’s real. We have a small kettle for making coffee and a stack of newspapers from last week. The address is 122011, and we’ve been here long enough that the local guards know us by name. Sometimes we stand on the balcony to catch a breeze. The work is steady and there's always something to fix or a part to order. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing without much fuss. The floors are a bit oily sometimes but we try to keep it clean enough for guests.
