Shasha Gaba Studio Llp is down on the ground floor at 33/1 in the Dlf Industrial Area, Phase 1. Being in an industrial area means it’s not the prettiest place to look at from the outside, but it’s perfect for the kind of studio work we do. There’s a lot of space for us to move things around and get our hands dirty. We aren't one of those high-fashion studios with white carpets and fancy lighting. Our floors are concrete and we’ve got stuff stacked up against the walls. It’s a working space, through and through. We spend most of our time here designing or making things, and sometimes the place gets a bit loud when machines are running or people are moving gear. We moved to this part of Phase 1 because we needed the room and the ground floor access makes it easy to bring in materials. It’s a small team, and we all pitch in with everything, from cleaning up to finishing a big project. We don’t really care about looking corporate. We’d rather just focus on the actual objects we’re creating. It’s a bit of a grit-and-grind kind of life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in old clothes covered in some kind of dust or paint. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is currently on the table.
