S S Batteries

S S Batteries is located right near Milestone 35 on the NH-8, near DLF City Phase I. Being so close to the highway means we see a lot of people with car trouble. It’s a noisy spot with all the trucks and cars zooming past all day. We mostly deal with batteries for vehicles and home inverters. The shop is full of heavy lead batteries and charging cables. It’s a messy job sometimes, dealing with battery acid and all the heavy lifting. We’ve been at this location for a while now. It’s not a glamorous place; it’s mostly just tools and stock piled up. When the power goes out in the heat of summer, we get really busy with people looking for inverter help. We just do what we can to get them sorted out. It’s a small team of us here. We spend our time testing voltages and hauling batteries in and out of people's cars. The sun hits the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, making it quite hot inside. We aren't big on talk; we just get to the work that needs doing. It’s a practical business for a practical part of town. People come to us when they are in a hurry or stuck on the side of the road. We try to be straightforward with them about what's wrong. It’s just how we run things at this milestone.
