Rudra Karma Foundation

Our group, Rudra Karma Foundation, is based out of a flat in Gurugram. It is Flat Number 502 in the GH-64 building. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the city but mostly we are just looking at other apartment blocks. Gurugram is a fast-paced place with everyone rushing around in their cars but inside the flat it is usually pretty quiet. We have a few chairs and some files and that is about it. We aren't a big organization with lots of funding or a fancy lobby. We just decided one day that we should do something about the problems we saw around us and this foundation was the result. The 122011 area is quite modern but there are still plenty of people who get left behind by all the progress. We try to bridge that gap in our own small way without making a big fuss about it. We don't spend money on advertising because we think the work should speak for itself. Sometimes we meet in the living room or at the dining table to plan what we are doing next. It is very informal and we like it that way because it keeps us close to the ground. If someone calls us they are talking to a real person, not a machine or a secretary. It is just us here.
