We’ve been here at House Number 501 in the Housing Board Colony for quite some time now. It’s a ground floor spot in Sector 51, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Most days it’s just about getting the tools ready and heading out to whatever job is on the list. Usually, it’s fixing some old wiring or putting in new switches when someone is renovating their place. My hands are almost always a bit dusty from the walls or oily from the wires we handle. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where we keep the ladders, the rolls of wire, and all the testing gear. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s a bit quieter, giving us time to organize the storeroom. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. It's funny how you get to know the quirks of every building in this part of town after a while. One house might have that one weird circuit that always trips, and another has outlets in the strangest spots. We just take things as they come. There’s always another fuse to check or a light fixture that won't behave. It’s basic work, really. Nothing too complicated, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of the time, we’re just happy when a job gets finished and the lights stay on like they’re supposed to for the families living nearby.
