You can find us at Shop number 12, right across from the main bus stand on Mata Road in Gurgaon. It is a very busy spot to be in. All day long, you hear the buses honking and the conductors calling out destinations. Because of the location, we see a lot of people who are just passing through the city. The shop itself is quite small and we have had to be clever with how we use the space. We have a couple of chairs for people to sit on while they wait, and a small partition for privacy. The floor is tile and we have to mop it several times a day because of the dust from the road. It isn't a fancy medical center with glass walls. It’s just a shop that we converted into a clinic. Sometimes the light in the back room flickers, and we’ve been meaning to get the electrician to look at it for a while now. We keep our supplies in metal cabinets that make a loud noise when you shut them. It’s a functional place. We get to know the regulars, like the bus drivers who stop in for a quick chat or some medicine. It is a noisy, dusty, but very honest place to work in the middle of Gurgaon’s chaos. We don't have fancy decorations, just a calendar on the wall and a small clock.
