Our place is right in Shop No. 3 at Kataria Market, which sits just across from the Sabzi Mandi at Basai Chowk. If you know Section 10, you know how busy it gets around here. The morning starts early with all the vegetable sellers setting up, and the noise doesn't really stop until late. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. It’s a simple shop, nothing too fancy or high-end. We mostly spend our day keeping things organized on the shelves and dealing with the dust that comes in from the main road. The lifestyle items we carry are just scattered around the shop. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful how we stack the boxes in the back. Most of our customers are locals who are already in the market for their daily groceries. We don't really do big advertisements. People just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic at the chowk. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a small fan running while we talk to the neighbors. It’s a decent way to earn a living in Gurgaon. We try to keep the things people actually need in their daily lives. Life moves fast outside on the street, but inside the shop, we just take it one customer at a time. It’s a practical little business and we like being part of the local market crawl.
