Med First

Our office for Med First is on the first floor of Devi Palace, which is right on the Old Delhi Road at A-2. The name Devi Palace makes it sound like a big fancy hall, but it is actually just a standard commercial building that has seen better days. We deal with medical supplies and related services, so the place is usually full of boxes containing all sorts of healthcare items. The traffic on Old Delhi Road is pretty much constant, so there is a steady hum of engines in the background while we work. We have a small reception area with a few old magazines, but most of the action happens in the back room where we sort the inventory. The floor is a bit uneven in spots, and the ceiling tiles have some water stains from the last big monsoon. We spend our mornings checking lists and making sure the deliveries are ready to go out to the clinics. It is a practical environment where we prioritize getting the boxes out the door over keeping the desks perfectly tidy. We have a small fridge for our lunches and a kettle that we use about ten times a day. People stop by frequently to pick things up, so there is a lot of "in and out" traffic through our main door. It is just a regular, hard-working spot in a busy part of town. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep.
